WATER/SEWER: The farthest curb stop from the water main will be considered the owner’s property and from that point, the owner shall be responsible for maintenance and repair. The sewer lines from the sewer pot to the house are the responsibility of the homeowner. If water meter is damaged due to neglect, it will be the owner’s responsibility for the cost of repair and/or replacement by the Village of Glen Park.
SUMP PUMPS MUST NOT: be used to pump liquid from your residence into the Village sewer system. When this is done, it creates a huge amount of sewage and thereby increases the cost of sewer to all residents. “The owner of the property from which the inflow originated shall be billed for the inflow at the rate per gallon (based upon the Superintendent’s estimated number of gallons of inflow) times 2 times the average charge per gallon charged by the Village of Brownville to the Village of Glen Park under their Sewer Service Agreement.”
